Just a quick question, do any of the books or radio plays show what Ianto did during Jack's death in End of Days? I mean, in the show we seen him crying into Jack's greatcoat, but... I'm really wishing to see/read/hear what Ianto did when Gwen was sitting with Jack's dead body.

I realize that it has been quite a while since this ask was submitted, so I hope that between then and now you were able to find out the answer to this question!

But!

To my recollection (and, quite frankly, I have an awful memory…), the novel that would most likely reference Jack’s death in the End of Days would be The Twilight Streets. Slight, slight spoiler is that Bilis Manger returns so there is, of course, that connection which emerges.

Otherwise, I don’t recall explicit or lengthy references to Ianto’s response.

My own brief memory tells me that he continued monitoring Jack and looking and researching for something to bring him back. Although that memory could be highly influenced by fanfiction.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

However, I also want to open this question up to our followers. We have a very large number of individuals who have an incredible memory and a marvelous knowledge of the Torchwood novels and radio dramas, etc.
